lessons-1.jpgEnglish horse riding lessons in Bradford and the surrounding area are available year round at Foxwood for beginner to advanced horse riders.  We focus on developing the equitation skills of our horse riding students on the flat and over fences.  Our riders learn to be confident and safe in all settings, including both indoor and outdoor rings as well as out on the cross country course and out on the trails. Our instructional program is based on the Equine Canada / Ontario Equestrian Federation Rider Level Certification program.

During the one hour lesson, students learn all aspects of horsemanship including proper horse care, grooming and tacking up, as well as stable management.

We have well schooled horses and ponies, each with their own grooming accessories and properly fitted tack and there are always staff members to assist with grooming/tacking up prior to each lesson.

In the winter, or during inclement weather, our horse riding lessons in Bradford take place in our bright and airy indoor arena.  Family members are welcome to view lessons from our large, heated tack room. In warmer weather, we have many options for outdoor riding:  a 120 x 190 grass ring; an 8 jump cross country course; over 100 acres of groomed trails; and *NEW in 2016, a fully fenced 80 x 160 foot sand ring!

These shows give our students a goal to work towards and to show family members how they have progressed during their horse riding lessons. We also provide off property showing opportunities to our students to compete at schooling, Bronze and “A” circuit shows
